| 02 Sep 2010 | Vlad Sh | Form Property to exclude from FT Indexing For this in the Form and Subform properties have long had a special option "Do not add field names to field index". For old design elements it is not actual, but for XPages - may be... so I vote neither for nor against. |
| 01 Sep 2010 | Andrea Baglioni | Symphony API integration in Agents I would like also to manipulate Microsoft Word documents (i.e. export to PDF). ODFToolkit manage also these? |
| 31 Aug 2010 | Bruce Lill | DDM could benefit from addng Twitter or SMS to Notifications Actually the sms can be done directly through a GSM modem and not be routed as email. It's more having the hooks in place to allow for other means of notifying someone. Twitter or submit a web page to a site would also work. |
| 31 Aug 2010 | Keith Brooks | DDM could benefit from addng Twitter or SMS to Notifications David, External monitoring systems are not exactly the answer either. One could buy GSX or Vital Signs from RPRWyatt or a few other items. BUT the problem is when your mail server goes down you can't get email. But you could get a Tweet or some other method of coded ping in IM, like a Sametime Bot perhaps. |
| 31 Aug 2010 | David Hablewitz | DDM could benefit from addng Twitter or SMS to Notifications SMS is just an email to your phone (ex: 8881231234@att.net) If external mail routing is down, you need monitoring systems outside of Notes to send the alert. (if your internet connection is down, you will not get alerts from any internal systems) . Consider external monitoring systems like Mailive.com. |
| 31 Aug 2010 | David Hablewitz | update function for location documents (mailserver, internetaddress...) The dyncfg process could prompt to change the mail file location as part of the move mail file process. But not it is not always desirable for a location docs. The internet address field is already updated by the dyncfg process when the Notes client is started. |
| 31 Aug 2010 | Andrea Baglioni | Symphony API integration in Agents ODFToolkit doesn't provide any method to quickly convert ODF document to PDF, so i need to install OpenOffice suite on server and use OO API or something like JODConverter. |
| 30 Aug 2010 | Stephan H. Wissel | Symphony API integration in Agents Symphony is client side software. There is no room on a server for it (it anyway isn't available on all server platforms, thus limiting your choices). Use the ODFToolkit to manipulate Symphony documents in a server environment and if you have to convert to PDF or throw it into the browser for printing. |

| 28 Aug 2010 | Peter Presnell | Standardize Definition of Application @2 - At the end of the day I would settle for any solution that provides clarity. We really should ghave a dictionary of "Notes" terms that defines each word and we make sure that when new features are added (or we rename features) that we don't encroach on another (existing) term. |
| 28 Aug 2010 | Peter Presnell | All Design Elements view in Designer @2 - It is indeed possible to copy/paste design documents using a standard views such as the one mentioned by Julian. I have an example of such a view in my OpenNTF project ∙dominoFramework if you need the actual code. |
| 28 Aug 2010 | Julian Woodward | All Design Elements view in Designer @2 - indeed, although you can get around that with a bit of LotusScript too. But we shouldn't have to, of course :-) |

| 27 Aug 2010 | Foua Vang | ideajam ideas - Lotusphere @David - Thank you for changing your vote. I agree that Bruce Elgort should be the moderator of the session if there is one. I do hope Bruce will submit a session dedicated to Ideajam as you suggested. I promoted your idea regarding the SPRs. Thank you for posting it. As for your idea about collecting the top ideas and see that they get addressed...I think that's a great idea! Go for it! @Vlad Sh - thanks for sharing your thoughts. I do hope that all these issues will be resolved/addressed... |
| 27 Aug 2010 | Jochen Sack | All Design Elements view in Designer Great idea. I'd frequently use that to remove "prohibit design refresh..." flags and the like. |
Totally agree. IBM's licensing core-based licensing model for SMBs is a mess.
