I'm not clear on what the new idea is hear so I'm not voting up or down.
However, I will add a comment. With the changes to LotusLive Files in the December 2011 release (this last weekend), you can Download to that list. If you select multiple files, a new ZIP file will be dynamically created for download.
What you are describing is the beginning of the issue I was trying to explain - perhaps not so well so I'll try again here.
The scenario would be that person (Jason) creates a ToDo/Comment/Entry and then, as you say, chooses to notify people at the bottome of the form by ticking "Notify Others". Lets say that John and Sarah are notified in this manner.
John, upon receiving the notifaction of the Todo/Comment/Entry, opens the relevant item from the convenient link in his email. John can see the item, but John does not know that Sarah has been notified and that Frank has not.
John might choose then to notify Sarah since he does not know she has been notified already or then try to contact her via other means to determine whether she has been notified or not.
This is where I think having the following line at the end of the ToDo/Comment/Task would make the notification chain visible:
Notified: Jason Levine, John Doe, Sarah Somebody
These entries linked to Profiles would make this even more useful =)
I think I'm neutral on this at present. IMAP could certainly be useful during transition, especially with LotusLive Notes Hosted. But I'd like to focus the long-term experience on the Notes and web interfaces, and mobile access via Traveler.
The reason this isn't supported is that IMAP is tied to a sever name and doesn't work in a cloud implementation. There are ways around this, but it really isn't worth the effort when Traveler and iNotes Lite are viable options.
'LotusLive Telco (Telecommunications): Telecommunications and Internet Service Providers will be able to white label LotusLive to suit their customers' needs.'
I'm quite surprised that this request has not received more attention.
I find myself constantly filtering Contacts, Communities, Activities and Tasks as the first way to search for what I'm looking for. This is sorely missed from Files and File collections.
White-labelling, at least for BPs etc., is an option for some parts of LotusLive (iNotes springs to mind). I think some of the larger customers have their own theme (at least one 50K+ seats springs to mind).
Feel free to e-mail me or speak to your Lotus rep about this - one of us can get you in contact with the LotusLive folks who'll know what's possible and what isn't.
