This is always a favorite concept, but we spend a lot of money on a conference to which we cannot attend the vast majority of the sessions. IBM is going to great lengths to try to ensure that every speaker has slides well before the conference (our deadline is Dec. ...
Who doesn't like free?
Will give IdeaJam definetly a boost these coming months.... =)
Hi all, I'm getting ready to order the swag my company will be giving away at our booth at lotusphere and I'm not enthused by many of my options. What have you seen (or would you like to see) given out by exhibitors (not a drawing) that send you running ...
You would think that with a company based just outside of Boston that we could at least have some Samuel Adams beer available for the Sunday night party and Monday night cocktail hour in the parner pavilion.
Other suggestions would include Brooklyn Lager and New Castle Brown Ale.
Some of us lowely independent contractors work pretty hard promoting Lotus Domino but don't have a parent company paying our way. Could IBM lower the price on Lotusphere?
You know we already got a big bump in price this year, couldn't you include parking passes for attendees at least? Not all of us can stay at the Swan or Dolphin.
The LotusSphere Europe conventions were excellent, and seemed muchj less sales focussed than the Orlando events
IBM needs to realise that the growing markets are not only in the US, and that the new EU member states are where the next revenue stream is coming from
A conference ...
As many of you know, for the past seven years, I have provided a Sessions database for Lotusphere. Last year, it was downloaded by over 4400 unique IP addresses, and we added replication for the first time for those who wanted to get updates. The sessions database was originally just ...
And have it in Late Fall instead of dead of winter where the weather in FL is hit or miss. People who want to fly in can still fly in and if folks want to drive from the continental US, it's more centrally located. Plus I'm betting the conference center ...
Every year at Lotusphere there are several session speakers that never bother to post their presentation slides and/or demos that they promised during their session. There are even more speakers that only post their presentation slides after much hounding by the conference attendees. I think that IBM should require that ...
It makes NO sense that he has to work so hard for something that benefits IBM's customers. This would allow him to easily create and update the scheduling DB.
Alton Brown as our closing session speaker was pure brillance. It'll be hard to top for 2009, but I'd like to make the early pitch for Adam and Jamie from Mythbusters! I'm sure there are dozens of geek myths they could put to the test on stage (and even some ...
One of the few bad parts of Lotusphere is that the slide templates, for want of a better word, "suck". They do not suck in so much as how they try to have content laid out. They suck in how they are used by the speakers because of forced constraints....
Started a JAMFEST BLOG a while back - http://www.bobbaehr.com/jamfest2008.nsf
I have 2 confirmed for "Comfortably Numb" by Pink Floyd. Still need another guitar, bass, keyboards, vocals, and of course -- the eternal cowbell.
IBM and Business Partners invest heavily in Lotusphere. In order to maximize return and value to the Lotus community, IBM should make a small investment to make sure the material is broadly available. IBM should pay Ben Langhinrichs to attach presentation materials to his sessions database so they could be ...
Special conference pricing for CLPs was offered to Lotusphere attendees for several years and then taken away last year. I think this really hurt IBM/Lotus' relationship with the certified community more than if they never offered it in the first place. Why not just offer us a token $100 discount ...
Not just from BPs and individuals but companies as well. If you need us, what better place to find us and interview us and solve your problems.
Partnerworld, can you do this or will this be part of the online Lotusphere registrants zone?
Every year the disney-bots put the between session coffee away far too early, surely it could be left for an extra ten or fifteeen minutes to allow those who have had to walk from one hotel to another to get a drink before heading into the next session?
After reading these posts and the blog post from one of the top innovators...I just wonder...but no matter what, for me I have gained knowledge in both admin and dev from the ideas and comments that are found and shared here...so I do find value in participating...
Let's face it... there's aren't enough AC power outlets in session rooms, and there never will be. If you're carrying your laptop with you in your yellow backpack, and if you're carrying the power brick, too, then the weight of a cheap little 6 outlet power strip isn't a lot ...
