at Teamstudio's blog.  Yes, I do think that development should be done in template www.chadsmiley.com/chadsmiley/home.nsf/d6plinks/CHAY-68VS9D, it would make my development quicker and easier.
Regardless if you believe development should be done template, why shouldn't templates be opened in a browser on some servers.  I would like to see a server setting (disabled by default) that would allow templates to be browsed.  In production templates should not able able to be opened in a browser, but on a development server this setting could be enabled and allow templates to be opened in a browser for testing and development.

For the ones you want to test on the web, just use an NSF as a template instead of an NTF. Works just as well.

I agree with @1 in that it's an easy workaround, though I also agree with the poster that there's no reason why an NTF shouldn't be able to be used in a browser.

Here in my office, we use NTFs exclusively for development and having to create an NSF copy JUST for testing on the web is an unnecessary annoyance. You have to make sure your changes are reflected in both copies and that you're linking to the correct one, blahblahblah. A lot of hassle for something that should be simple.
